Armored Tournament

Unto the noble Knights, right worthy Masters-at-Arms, valiant Squires, and all armored combatants in good standing with the Crown of the East – Pay heed this formal invitation to THE QUEEN’S WHIM PRIZE TOURNAMENT.

Be it known that in joyful celebration at the Coronation of Honig III and Culann I, shall be held a Tournament of Armored Combat, that all may bear witness prowess, courage, and chivalric virtue upon the field.

Therefore now are all combatants hereby invited and summoned by her Highness Honig to attend and to contend, each according to their skill and station for honor, prize, and word-fame.

This tournament shall offer prizes and recognition to:

• The highest-placing member of the Chivalry, and

• The highest-placing unbelted combatant,

that excellence in both long-proven mastery and rising valor may alike be celebrated before the Crown and assembled populace.

FORMAT:

All unbelts will fight a round-robin amongst themselves, with the top 4 advancing.

All members of the Chivalry will fight a round robin amongst themselves, with the top 4 advancing.

The top 8 combatants will compete in a double elimination tournament until only 4 remain.

Semi Finals: Combatants bring their best forms. Best of three passes. The combatant with no losses only need win once, while the combatant with a loss need win twice.

Finals: Best of 5 Rounds.

Round 1: Counted Blows at a barrier with single sword.

Round 2: Great Sword

Round 3: Sword and Shield

Round 4: Polearm

Round 5: Bring your Best.

Let all who would enter ensure that their arms, armor, and authorizations be in good order, and that they comport themselves upon the field with the honor and courtesy befitting the East. Until then, prepare yourselves, and come ready to do great deeds.

Coronation Fencing Tournament Announcement

Unto all masters and students of the art and science of defense practicing within the strictures of sovereign law,

Her Royal Highness invites all to attend a prize fight in full public spectacle to amaze the coronation crowds.

Duelists will compete in round robin format with a list comprising Masters of Defense and a list for students of the art who have yet to acquire the white collar. The four top contenders from each tourney will then compete in a double elimination round.

Heralds will announce the top 8 combatants who will compete in a double elimination tournament until only 4 remain.

In the semi-final round, combatants bring their choice weapon forms to duel in to the best of three passes. The undefeated combatant with need win only once, while the combatant with a loss need win twice.

Finals: Best of 5 Rounds.

Round 1: Three Passes with Single Sword.

Round 2: Long Sword

Round 3: Sword and Buckler

Round 4: Case of Swords

Round 5: Bring your Best

Those who would enter the prize fight must show proof of their Coronation pass, which shall be given at the gate for those who have paid. They must also present their authorization card. All duelists are expected to behave honorably and respectfully towards their opponents, representing the best of the East Kingdom
